1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using CardSense ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. CardSense is operated by CardSense ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of Service
CardSense is a bank statement management service that automatically imports credit card and bank statements from your Gmail, parses transaction data using AI, and provides spending analytics through a web dashboard. The Service currently supports 47 banks across Taiwan and Singapore.
3. Account Registration
You must sign in with a valid Google account to use CardSense. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
4. Free and Premium Plans
CardSense offers a free tier with limited functionality and a paid Premium plan with full features. Premium subscriptions are processed through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By subscribing to Premium, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. Pricing is displayed in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and may be subject to change with reasonable notice.
5. Payment & Billing
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, refunds, chargebacks, and sales tax/VAT on our behalf. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually depending on your selected plan. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests should be directed to our support team and are handled in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's refund policy.
6. Gmail Access & Data Use
CardSense requires read-only access to your Gmail to function. You grant us permission to search for and read bank statement emails and their PDF attachments from known bank sender domains. We do not access any emails other than those matching bank statement patterns. You may revoke Gmail access at any time through your Google Account security settings, which will disable the auto-import feature.
7. AI Processing
CardSense uses Google Gemini AI to parse PDF statements and extract transaction data. While we strive for accuracy, AI-extracted data may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of parsed transactions. We are not liable for financial decisions made based on potentially inaccurate AI-parsed data.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws. • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data. • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service. • Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the Service beyond normal usage. • Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding your personal data), is owned by CardSense and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of your financial data. We claim no ownership over your bank statements, transactions, or any data you import through the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
CardSense is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI parsing will be 100% accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Service Availability
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
12. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted from our systems. Data already backed up to your Google Drive (if opted in) will remain in your Drive account.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
